Long before ‘The Rachel’ hairstyle sent us all running to the hairdressers there was the ‘Farrah Do’ emulated by millions of women wishing to have just a drop of Farrah Fawcett’s sex appeal. Throughout the 1970s and 1980s she was the epitome of glamour and sexual allure with her poster sales breaking all records. For most of us she will always be private investigator Jill Munroe from the TV show Charlie’s Angels. Sassy, smart and kick-ass who didn’t pretend to be Jill Munroe during their playground break at school. Whilst it’s her now legendary red bathing suit poster that broke all sales I prefer the shot below of Farrah skate-boarding with her fabulous mane of golden tresses. To me it captures all that was wonderful about Farrah Fawcett and depicts a woman with an adventurous spirit worthy of her pop culture status.
